LookingGlass Cyber Solutions
Booth Presentation
Black Hat USA
Marketing Problem
Shortly before Black Hat USA (one of the largest cybersecurity conferences in the world with more than 9,000 attendees), LookingGlass realized that they didn’t have the in-house resources to create a featured presentation for their large booth. They’d finalized the script and hired an actress to deliver the presentation live several times per day, but the actual presentation wasn’t taking shape.
Client Goals
LookingGlass had just completed an acquisition that expanded their product line. The presentation needed to educate the audience on the need for threat intelligence management (a new concept for many of them), illustrate the unique nature of LookingGlass’ newly expanded software suite, and inspire the viewers to request a demonstration of the solution at one of the booth’s many demo stations.

Project Challenges
This project required an extremely tight schedule of just two weeks, but we stayed on track by following our agile marketing methodology. We quickly prepared a storyboard based on their script and teased out the key concepts. We turned that into a set of sample images to illustrate the proposed palette, visual style, and story line. With a thumbs-up from LookingGlass senior management, we delivered a killer presentation on-time and within budget.
Final Results
Starting from just a script and the dictate to make it “bright with minimal text,” Polymath Marketing partnered with Kilroy Creative to build a presentation that achieved all of LookingGlass’ goals. The use of bold color, consistent iconography, custom graphics, unexpected ideas, and plentiful animations enabled this presentation to stand out from the crowd, lure passersby in, and keep them engaged with humor and a clear story line.
